Pastor John Mackall and Michelle Mackall
I have been a follower of Jesus since age 25, and I don’t see that ever changing. I have been blessed with an incredible wife, Michelle, and four awesome children, John, Kyle, Rachel, and Tim. God and my family are my first loves; but I also love football, fishing, biking, swimming, competing in triathlons, skiing, and almost anything outdoors. I desperately want to see others have a relationship with Jesus their creator. And God’s Word still thrills me!
Carol McGinnis – Administrative Assistant
I have lived in Maryland since 1974 and fulfilled a successful career as a special education teacher with Prince George’s County Public Schools. After retiring in 2015, I was looking for where God was leading me. And, as He so often does, the opportunity to serve as a part-time Administrative Assistant position at CrossLife became available. I just had to take it and did so, with the support and encouragement of my husband, Chuck.
Sharon Smith – Administrative Assistant (Finance)
I have followed God for 30 plus years! I am amazed at how much He has taught me through His word and through other people about who He is and who I am; looking forward to many more years of following His way and His passion. I enjoy special family times like building and racing cardboard boats, and adventure vacations including an eight day bike trip from Pittsburgh, PA, to Washington DC, and eight days of rafting through the Grand Canyon. My hobbies are reading and quilting.
Melinda Hamilton – Praise Team Ministry Leader
I never thought I’d share a title with Paul of Tarsus; nevertheless here I am today, a “servant of Christ, Jesus” (Rom 1). My passion is serving and my gifting is music. I’ve shared both passions at CrossLife Community Church since its beginning. God willing, I will continue to proclaim the Gospel through music and service for the rest of my days — even into eternity!
Matthew Eastman – CLYMB Youth Ministry Leader
Sherri Owens – Kid Connection Lead
I have been involved with children’s ministries for 23 years. I’ve been married to my husband, Ed for 27 years; have 2 children and one absolutely precious grandson. I love teaching children God’s word and watching them as they grow spiritually.
Carol and her husband, Chuck, serve in many ways, including helping with sanctuary set up, making coffee, aluminum can collections for Habitat for Humanity, and coordinating collections of food and household items to support local families through the Elkridge Food Pantry and Garden.
The Pastors Council is one of two leadership groups that help guide the church. This team of people is charged with praying for the church, monitoring the spiritual health of the church, accountability for and of the pastor, guidance, leadership, and direction to the church.
