A Church is Birthed
CrossLife Community Church is a church plant out of Heartland Church in Columbia, Maryland. Heartland Church launched in 1996 with a goal to start a new church within four years. That goal was met with the birth of CrossLife Community Church in 2003, pastored by John Mackall.
John served as a Church Plant Intern for Heartland from October 2002 to October 2003.
October 2003 Our First Service
CrossLife held their first service on October 26th, 2003, with a small core group of people worshiping in the pastor’s home in Elkridge.
December 2003/March 2004 Outgrowing
By December we had grown out of our home, and God provided a new worship space at the Main Street Barber Shop in Elkridge, Maryland. While this might sound strange, it worked great. Again God blessed us, and by March, 2004, we outgrew the Barber Shop and began to utilize the triple-wide, green trailer and fellowship hall of Grace Episcopal Church in Elkridge.
Rockburn Elementary & Elkridge Elementary
We spent over 10 years at Rockburn elementary and Elkridge elementary public schools. It served us well and kept us connected to the community.
Present Day @ 6625 Selnick Drive
Praise God we were able to hold our first Service in our new building August 16th, 2020. Come check it out, it’s not just a building, it’s a place where we help people release their heart to God and love one another.
